Elaine McGee - Broadcast Journalist BBC NI

 Ballyshannon native Elaine McGee is a broadcast journalist who has worked in news and current affairs with BBC Northern Ireland for the past five years. Based in Derry, she co-presents BBC Radio Foyle’s Breakfast programme and her own weekly programme on BBC Radio Ulster. She also regularly presents programmes like Good Morning Ulster, Evening Extra and The Nolan Show and has reported for BBC Newsline and Reporting Scotland. A University of Ulster graduate, Elaine started her career at the Donegal Democrat before she made the move into radio with Ocean FM. During her time with the BBC she has covered events such as Derry’s year as UK City of Culture. She is married to James and likes to get home to Ballyshannon as much as she can. 

Elaine will chair the 'Creative Economy in the NW' panel as part of the 'Inspire Creativity/Engage Enterprise' event on Friday Nov 6th 2015 in the Abbey Centre.
