A musical celebration of the life of Éamonn Ceannt (1881-1916) by uileann piper Paul Harrigan and Caoihmín Mac Aoidh. Ceannt, one of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising and signatory of the Proclamation of Independence, was also an avid uileann piper and founder of Cumann na bPíobairí in Dublin.
Paul Harrigan is a consummate musician on both the pipes and accordion. A well known teacher of music, he runs the Ceol na Coille music school in Letterkenny.
Caoimhín Mac Aoidh lives in Ballyshannon, is a fine musician and a recognised authority on all aspects of traditional music, in particular the music of Donegal. Caoimhín is the composer of Comóradh Éamonn Ceannt. He is the author of the critically acclaimed books "Between the Jigs and the Reels" and "The Scribe - The Life and Works of James O Neill".
