MineCraft Edu from CultureTech at #allingham2015

Rachell McDermot of Culturetech will be facilitating workshops on saturday morning at Coláiste Colmcille in Ballyshannon, that will look at four iconic buildings in Northern Ireland: Belfast City Hall, Mussenden Temple, the Harland and Wolff Samson and Goliath Cranes and finally the Guildhall in Derry/Londonderry. They have rebuilt these structures in Minecraft where participants can explore the designs (both inside and out). The pupils will form four teams (one team per structure) and challenged to rebuild their given structure e.g. Belfast City Hall, Mussenden Temple etc. There will even be a few prizes.

The workshops will be as follows:

Workshop A: 12noon to 2pm (under 10's)
Workshop B: 2pm to 4pm (under 16's)

Inspire Creativity Talk: MinecraftEDU in Education. Rachel will also be speaking at the Inspire Creativity talks on Friday afternoon about the use of MinecraftEDU in education to teach mainstream subjects, to enhance pupils creativity, engagement, learning and understanding.
