The Allingham 2015 Secondary Schools Fiction & Poetry competition winners have been announced. Congratulations to all winners, and well done to everyone who took part. The judges were very impressed with the incredibly high standard of writing in this year's competition, and had a very difficult time choosing the winners, but they also commented that the future of Irish writing is in safe hands! It was fascinating to see the range of topics and themes which students chose to write about, and also to see entries coming in from all over the country.

The Schools Competitions Committee would like to thank all those who took part, and also to express gratitude to the parents, teachers and friends who assisted in sending off the entries.

The Awards Ceremony which will take place in the Abbey Centre on Saturday November 7th at 4pm. Winners will also be invited to read their work, or at least a section of their work.
