The prize in each category is €300. The winners and runners up will receive free admission to all Allingham Festival events and be invited to read their work at the Festival on Saturday, November 7, 2015. The deadline for receipt of entries is midnight on Friday, September 18th. A shortlist of entries will be published on the website in mid October.

You may submit up to 8 poems, maximum 40 lines per poem; And up to 8 flash fictions, maximum 700 words each (or short-short stories, or sudden, postcard, minute fictions, or furious, fast, quick, skinny, micro fictions... read http://www.writing-world.com/fiction/flash.shtml for more).

Your entries (whether online or posted hardcopy) MUST NOT have any identifying name on them. You may enter previously published work, but NOT poetry or flash fiction that has previously won any writing competition. 

Entries must be typed. Entrants must be over 18. 

The entry fee for both competitions is €5 for 1 entry, €8 for 2, €12 for 3 entries, €15 for 4 entries, €18 for 5 entries, €20 for 6 entries, €22 for 7 entries, €24 for 8 entries

Entries can be submitted online or by post.

Entries will not be returned and no correspondence about decisions will be entered into.
