Anne Enright, Laureate for Irish Fiction, the first confirmed guest for Allingham 2016
We are delighted to announce that the first guest confirmed to appear in Allingham 2016 is none other than Anne Enright, the inaugural Laureate for Irish Fiction, Man Booker Prize winner (2007) and Irish Novel of the Year Winner (2015).
Allingham Lecture: Valerie Cox
Valerie Cox will deliver this year's Allingham Lecture. Valerie is well-known to radio listeners around the country as an investigative reporter on prime time RTÉ shows such as Morning Ireland, the Today with Seán O'Rourke Show and the Pat Kenny Show. Valerie recently retired from RTÉ after twenty years with the broadcaster, although it is highly likely that she will continue to contribute and produce programmes on a freelance basis. We are delighted that she has agreed to deliver this year's Allingham lecture. The subject of the lecture will be announced later in the year.

Afric McGlinchey will host a poetry workshop at Allingham 2016, and will also read from her work over the weekend.
