Songwriting Entry by Mail:

1. Post your entry to the address above. Please note, memory sticks will not be accepted.

2. Include a signed application form. 

3. Include two copies of the lyric sheet (include an English translation if applicable).

4. Inclue payment of €20 per entry.

Fiction and Poetry Entry by Mail:

1. Post your entry to the address above.

2. Include a signed application form.

3. Include a cheque or postal order made payable to Allingham Society for the appropriate amount (Fiction & Poetry: 1 entry = €5, 2 entries = €8, 3 entries = €12, 4 entries = €15 5 entries=€17, €2 extra per story/poem thereafter).

RULES:

1. All entries must be the original work of the entrant.

2. Entries must not have been published elsewhere (online, digital or print).

3. Entries must be typed.

4. Each entry must include an application form (for entries by mail, you must print this application form and include it with your entry; for online entries, the details submitted in the online form count as the application form).

5. Include only the title of the work (and page numbers if relevant) on the pages of your entry. Do not add your name or any other personal details to the pages of your story or your poem. Personal information must only appear on the application form or any cover sheets included.

6. Flash Fiction must not exceed 800 words. Poems must not exceed 40 lines.

7. Judges' decisions are final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding shortlist or the winners. 

8. Entries will not be returned.

9. International entries are welcome.
